Investigators claim that Jefferson took $100,000 in unmarked bills from an FBI informant...The money was earmarked for corrupt Nigerian telecommunication officials...Later, Feds found $90,000 squirreled away in Jefferson's freezer...

Did he lie about the bribe, or did he stiff his Nigerian counterparts..? Either way, New Orleans voters who have grown accustomed to Mayor Ray Nagin's Tammany Hall-style scams gleefully voted "The Freeze" back to Capitol Hill for the 9th time..!
