John McCain and Ted Kennedy announced on May 17th, 2007 an immigration overhaul that would grant amnesty to 30,000,000 illegalistas...

THE RANK & FILE AMERICAN DETECTS A SILVER LINING because this treasonous legislation proposed by the US Senate, at the very least, puts McCain out of presidential politics forever...

SENATE PROPOSAL:

Highly skilled and educated illegalistas would be given preferential treatment over people with family connections....

THE RANK & FILE AMERICAN ASKS: Are highly skilled workers pole vaulting over border fences with lap tops and lattes in hand..?

SENATE PROPOSAL:

State-of-the-art employment verification technology will be instituted to make sure the workers are here legally...

THE RANK & FILE AMERICAN KNOWS that Mexico, or any Third World government, can't accurately decipher the status of it's own citizens, how are we to do so..?

SENATE PROPOSAL:

Illegalistas would have to 'fess up and obtain a "Z visa", pay some fees and a $5,000 fine...

THE RANK & FILE AMERICAN ASKS: What if they don't have $5000? Wouldn't this drive them deeper underground? At what point do we waive the $5 grand?

SENATE PROPOSAL:

This permanent residency process could take 10 years.

THE RANK & FILE AMERICAN SCOFFS: Wait 10 years? They're already here, 30 million of them, thumbing their noses at our flag, our language, and our laws...How many drug dealers, child predators, and terrorists are among them..?

Heads of household would have to return to their home countries first...

So hubby can abandon his family in America to go back home and deal with a corrupt government...And what of his family in the meantime?...Do they become wards of a religious charity?...Or does the Senate have another plan to place them on welfare until hubby's return with proof that he resided in a country he happily fled...

They could immediately obtain a probationary card that would let them live and work in America, but no citizenship "until" (weasel word) border security improvements and the high-tech worker identification program were completed.

(until = whenever = someday = 3rd of never..."until": a word used in numerous Houdini escape clauses to get out of real estate contracts and leases as well as other sundry obligations... )

ALSO, THE RANK & FILE AMERICAN KNOWS that dumbed-down public education has now become a place where one searches for their inner whatever...To this extent math and science have taken a backseat to social engineering... Americans, not wanting to do the jobs foreigners are willing to do, would have to import and army of Pakistani/Indian scientists to make this hi-tech dream of border security and worker i.d. come true someday, whenever...Meaning: there could be millions of illegalistas walking around with probationary cards "until" the 3rd of never...It's Amnesty..!
